WET N WILD MEGALAST ANIL POLISHES: REVIEW & PHOTOS

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

If you have been following our blog for a while, then you already know that we LOVE the Wet n Wild MegaLast Nail Polishes. We obsessed over the deep and mesmerizing shades in the Pick You Poison collection and we raved about the fun and sparkly shades in the Be a Runway Beauty collection! But, we haven't actually shown you the permanent polishes in the line...until now! Get ready to be blown away by gorgeous color and impressive quality that is ALWAYS available at your local Wet n Wild retailers!

Okay, if you're anything like us, then you are probably squealing with joy just LOOKING at these pretty pictures! But, remain calm, because we still have a lot to cover in this post! Stay with me!

Before we jump into color descriptions, let's talk about the packaging, formula, and overall quality of these polishes. Basically, they come in classy square-ish bottles that say "wet n wild" down the sides, "wet n wild megalast salon nail color" on the front, and the shade name on the back. They also come with black caps that have WIDE brushes! The bottles look chic enough, ant the wide brushes make the application a breeze! We LOVE the brushes! The actual nail polish in most of them is creamy (but some have shimmer), and they need about two coats to look opaque and even--which is pretty typical of a nail polish. The dry time is pretty average, as well. The lasting power might be just a titch better in these than your average nail polish, though, which is great! And the pigmentation is FABULOUS! We really appreciate that these have so much vividness, and come in a variety of stunning shades! We absolutely adore this line of nail polishes--it is one of our favorite lines because the quality is phenomenal, and the price is fantastic, at just $1.99 per polish at Walgreen's!

"Break the Ice" is a pretty white loaded with fine shimmer! It is absolutely stunning, and has a snow-princess-like quality (yes, that's a thing)! The "icy" name fits is perfectly!

"2% Milk" is a very light, fleshy color with a hint of a pink undertone and a cream finish. For those of us with fair skin, this makes a fantastic nude! Oh, so classy!

"Private Viewing" is a slightly deeper nude shade with a peach undertone and cream finish. I imagine this would be a great nude for those with tanner skin tones.

"Wet Cement" is a very pretty, creamy taupe! What a beautiful, cool brown shade! (This is slightly darker in person than in picture--sorry about the slightly off-lighting in this one!)

"Candy-licious" is a medium shade of pink with a bright, candy-like tone and cream finish! It is such a fun, pretty pink and we LOVE it! The name suits it so well, too.

"Tropicala" is a fun, creamy coral! It is a little brighter than "Candy-licious" and has definite orange undertone, but it still has more pink than orange in it. This is such a tropical, warm color! It is another polish with a fitting name! (This is brighter in person.)

"Heatwave" is pretty much an oranger (I know that's not a word, but you know what I mean, so just roll with it) version of "Tropicala." It is another bright, warm shade of coral, but it has a lot more orange in it!

"I Red a Good Book" is a pretty shade of red that has a strong orange undertone, and is on the lighter side of red. It also has a cream finish. Very classy!

"I Need a Refresh-Mint" a pretty, creamy, light shade of blue. Unfortunately, despite the name, it is NOT a lovely shade of mint green. It is almost more of a cotton candy blue! I could go on and on about how much the unfitting name bugs me, but it is a cute enough color that I'll shut up about that and let you enjoy the pretty picture peacefully.

"On a Trip" is a very cool, light to medium shade of purple. This lovely violet also has a cream finish.

"Disturbia" is a very dark, shimmering purple. It is simply GORGEOUS!

"Through the Grapevine" is a bright and beautiful magenta hue. It is this warm, pink-ish purplish color with a cream finish!

As you can see, there are loads of pretty shades in this line (and we do NOT have them all)! While it's hard to pick only a few favorites, if we had to do so, we might pick "Candy-licious" and "Disturbia." What are a few of YOUR favorites?! Let us know in the comment section below!

WET N WILD STREET ART NAIL COLORS

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

Hello, fellow polish fanatics! A few days ago, we ran across Wet n Wild's new Street Art collection (a limited edition collection in the Wild Shine Nail Color line) at Walgreen's (American Fork, Utah location), and we purchased our three favorite colors for just 99 cents per pop! Check 'em out!

"Deception" is a bright, warm, medium, to dark shade of purple with a creamy finish. Pretty hot color, huh?!

"Get Lucky" is a bright, creamy, happy yellow (it reminds me of banana Runts--which makes me even happier)!

"Too Hot for You" is an oh-so-sassy reddish coral shade with a pretty silver-ish sheen to it!

These bright colors are awesome additions to our nail polish collections, and we are so excited to rock these this spring! Don't forget to tell us about YOUR recent nail polish finds in the comment section below! :)

Check out this super cute card! Wouldn't this make the PERFECT birthday card for a princess-loving or fairy tale-obsessed little girl (or boy)?! Even though this is not the most sophisticated card around, we had to share--I mean, look at the glittering castle! You Know how much we love SPARKLE! ;)

This is a pretty simple card, you will just need: white card stock, dark purple card stock, a light purple card, gold ribbon, gold ink and embossing powder, and castle ("Ever After Icon") and "make a wish" ("Ever After Phrase" by Pebbles) stamps!

So, once you grab all your materials, go ahead and follow the step-by-step photo sequence below....

Talk about simple, right?! Just stamp and emboss a castle and "make a wish" onto white card stock, mount them on dark purple card stock, throw 'em on a light purple card, add gold ribbon, and dab on some glue here and there! Then, place the card on a sleeping puppy, just for cuteness' sake! ;)

WE FOUND NYX!

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

Rumors about NYX coming to Walgreen's have been flying around the beauty communities of cyberspace lately. We have been pretty stocked about it because we have never tried it (because who wants to order makeup online when you can see it in person at a store and buy it there with out paying for shipping?!) and we have heard some pretty amazing things about NYX! We are so excited about being able to check out NYX (because we have NEVER seen it in any store before).

Well. yesterday we went to Walgreen's (American Fork, UT location), and guess what we found?! You guessed it--NYX!

We also swung by Smith's Marketplace (Lehi, UT location), and we found NYX there, too! What a pleasant surprise!

We have to admit we were a little disappointed in the prices of NYX products. I mean $5 for a lip gloss? Compared to other brands, like Maybelline and Revlon, I guess that is not too bad. But compared to our go-to brands, like Wet n Wild, that's a bit pricey (yes, we know, we're cheap!). Some NYX products are more affordable than others (and they're generally cheaper at Smith's Marketplace), so we'll still plan on trying a few things out, but have not tried anything yet...

If you are a NYX fan, don't forget to tell us what your favorite NYX products are in the comment section below!

NAIL-SPIRATION: VALENTINE'S DAY NAIL POLISHES!

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

Pink, Red, & White Day--or Valentine's Day, if you prefer to call it that (which we don't)--is tomorrow! So, we thought this would be the perfect time to show you  our top twelve (because "top ten" is overrated) pink, red, and white nail polishes (all under $3)! Now, let's just jump right into the color conversation, shall we?! :)

We will start with one of our favorite pink polishes, the Wet n Wild MegaLast Nail Color in "Candy-licious." This is that perfect medium shade of pink--it is not too dark, or too light, but it is super bright! It is a must-have!

Another favorite (and anew one!) is the NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in "Lafayette Pink." This is such a classic shade--light, creamy, and Audrey Hepburn-esque!

We love the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in "Berry Juicy." It is super light, almost neutral shade of pink, and perfect for those of you going for that subtle look!

Another fabulous pink is the Sinful Colors Nail Polish in "Over It," which has a strong lavender undertone. Talk about GORGEOUS!

For a great fuchsia manicure, we love the NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in "Greenwich Village." What a perfect hot pink hue!

Moving onto the reds, we love the Wet n Wild MegaLast Nail Color in "Rudy-dolph" for that classy red manicure! It is simply stunning, with a hint of shimmer!

Another great red is the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Polish in "Unbreakable Heart." It is a bit deeper than "Rudy-dolph," and it has the most amazing sheen!

If you are into deeper reds, give the Milani Nail Polish in "Radiant Ruby" a try! It is SO pretty!

We have another great Milani polish to recommend, and this is a white shade called "Chantily." This has the prettiest luminescent, shimmering glow!

Another stunning white is the Wet n Wild MegaLast Nail Color in "Break the Ice," which is a beautiful white with shimmer--like snow!

If you want a sparkle-free white, we definitely recommend the Wet n Wild Shine Nail Color in "French White Creme."

Kaitlyn is wearing the NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in "Lafayette Pink," and I am wearing the Wet n Wild MegaLast Nail Color in Rudy-dolph" and the Milani Nail Polish in "Chantily."

What are you wearing on your nails this Pink, Red, & White Day?! Tell us in the comment section below! :)
