Hello lovely readers!
This blog has largely been quiet for many years now, which we sincerely apologize for. As you may know, Breann was the driving force behind this blog. The idea to start a blog in the first place? Breann's. The actual carrying out of creating said blog? Breann's doing. The ideas for almost every post? You guessed it - Breann! Furthermore, she bore almost the entire "burden" in creating post schedules, snapping the pictures we used and writing the posts. She loved it all - and I loved collaborating with her and CJ on our projects.
When she passed away in 2014, I did post her final drafts - but beyond that, my interest in continuing to contribute to the blog quickly fizzled. Working on this blog without her just wasn't the same. As such, Hot Glue and Sparkle became a blog-ghost town.
However, after something of a Hot Glue and Sparkle hiatus, I'm excited to announce CJ is stepping in as the new head writer and creative guru, to bring the blog back to life! She is incredibly creative on so many levels and I'm excited to see the fresh life I know she'll breathe into this blog. Among other creative outlets and talents, CJ always has amazing nail art, is quick to offer genius ideas to my own projects and recently launched a shop selling amazing handcrafted clay jewelry, miniatures and more (check out her shop here).
We'd also like to introduce Wood! As you may recall, our dogs have a way of finding themselves in the spotlight of our blog posts. This cutie has not yet had that privilege, but he also loves tagging along on any project we tackle!
So get ready for some new posts coming soon! You'll see some familiar theses from the blogs of past years, as well as some new things.
