Turning Page

Hello lovely readers!

This blog has been pretty quiet for quite a few years now — and for that, we sincerely apologize. As many of you know, Breann was the heart and driving force behind Hot Glue and Sparkle. The idea to start a blog in the first? Breann's. Creating it? Also Breann. The inspiration behind so many of our posts? You guessed it — Breann again. She carried the creative spark that kept everything running, from planning post schedules to taking photos to writing the content itself. She loved every second of it, and I loved getting to collaborate with her and CJ on all our projects.

When Breann passed away in 2014, I shared the final drafts she had prepared — but after that, it was hard to keep going. Working on the blog without her just didn't feel the same, and over time Hot Glue and Sparkle quietly faded into a bit of a ghost town.

After this long hiatus, I'm so excited to share that CJ is stepping in as our new head writer and creative guru — and I truly can't think of anyone better to bring fresh life back into this space. CJ's creativity shines in everything she does. From her incredible nail art, to the genius ideas she brings to my own projects, to her recently launched shop featuring handcrafted clay jewelry, miniatures, and more — she's constantly creating something amazing (be sure to check out her shop here)!

We'd also like to introduce Wood! As longtime readers may remember, our dogs have always had a way of stealing the spotlight in blog posts. This sweet cutie hasn't had his big debut yeet, but he absolutely loves tagging along for any project we're working on — so I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty of him.

So get ready for new posts coming soon! You'll see some familiar themes from the blog's earlier years, along with new ideas and creative adventures mixed in.

Happy reading,

Kaitlyn
