AIRSPUN LOOSE FACE HIGHLIGHTER (AT THE DOLLAR TREE)

Prepare yourself for another post in our Bargain Alert series...

I haven't heard about this loose face highlighter until recently. Now I have enough highlighters already, so I didn't really feel the need to buy this, but I wanted to write about it for those of you who are obsessed with this highlighter and want an amazing deal!

This highlighter can be purchased at Walmart for $7.45 and Amazon for $9.25, but I personally think it's a much better for $1.25 at the Dollar Tree!

Even though I've never used this highlighter, I've heard and seen it on other people and it looks so beautiful! It's pretty pigmented, so a little goes a long way and it blends well on the skin. The only complaint that I've heard about this product is with it being a loose highlighting powder, it is a bit messy.

If you're someone who can work with loose powders easily and is in the search for a new highlighter, or already adores this highlighter, I recommend checking out your local Dollar Trees.

Tell me your thoughts about this highlighter in the comments below!

WET N WILD: SESAME STREET COLLECTION

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

My friend, sister and I were shopping at Walmart and what did we discover while shopping? Wet n Wild has a Sesame Street Collection!

I checked the Wet n Wild website a few weeks ago, and I didn't see the Sesame Street Collection. The collection can be purchased at Walmart and the Wet n Wild website. If you're interested in purchasing the Sesame Street PR Box it can be ordered on the Wet n Wild's website (but it is missing a few of the items so you won't have the full collection).

The display we saw has four sides and I snapped some pictures of each side. On the first side there are glitter lip glosses on the top row. On the bottom row, there are lipsticks, temporary tattoos, and glitter gel.

Moving to the next side...The top row contains a lip scrub stick (Cookie Monster), lip mask stick (Grover), red lip gloss (Elmo), and setting powder (Big Bird). In the middle row there's a blue eyelash curler (Cookie Monster) and false lashes (Abby Cadabby). The bottom row has a headband (Elmo) and gem face mask (Telly).

On the third side, the top row has a complexation trio. On the middle row is a brush holder (Elmo), multi-sticks (Cookie Monster), and a hand mirror (Cookie Monster). The bottom row contains more multi-sticks and a prime & setting mist in one (Count von Count)!

On the final side, there's an eye and face palette (which I of course had to get!) on the top row. The second row down has a makeup sponge and case (Oscar the Grouch). The third row down contains a set of four colorful makeup brushes. A makeup bag is on the bottom row.

Coming from someone who didn't watch Sesame Street growing up and isn't a huge fan of Sesame Street, I think that the packaging of the items are cute! I was so excited to try these out, especially the palette!

It seems like I'm not the only one who likes these products, although Shadow is more drawn to the lip products than the palette!

1 2 3 Sesame Street Palette:

This eye and face palette has such beautiful colors. I like that there is a mix of some neutral colors with fun, bright colors. There's also a mixture of matte, shimmer, and glitter pigments. Most of the pigments feel soft and buttery; they are blendable and pretty pigmented, and there is a little bit of fallout. The glitter shades do have a little bit of a grit to them, but not too bad for a glitter shadow. The embossed pigments are cute. This is a very versatile palette!

Note almost half of the pigments aren't eye and lip safe.

1 2 3 Sesame Street can be purchased at Walmart and Walmart's website, and Wet n Wild's website.

First row of shadows

Be Awesome! is a cool shimmer latte.

Laughter Together is a warm matte with subtle shimmer neon orange.

Follow My Beat is a warm shimmer turquoise.

Still Hungry! is a cool matte royal blue.

Peace & Love is a cool shimmer fuchsia.

Second row of shadows

Since 1969 is a cool matte peach.

Play With Me is a warm matte blonde.

Sing-A-Long is a warm glitter tangerine.

Ton O'Fun is a cool shimmer royal blue.

Fairy Garden is a cool shimmer pale lilac.

Third row of shadows

Sesame Love is a cool matte fire brick.

Street Smart is a warm matte ginger.

Rocc-On is a cool shimmer coffee.

Grouchy is a warm shimmer hunter.

Scrumptious is a cool matte walnut.

Happy To Be Me lip glosses

Happy To Be Me lip glosses have four different glittery glosses, but these lip glosses reminded me a lot of the Wet n Wild Zodiac Collection, which I wrote about a while ago, so I only got one of the lip glosses. Since it's a glitter gloss, there is a bit of grittiness to it, but not terrible. It's sheer, with a beautiful high shine, not sticky, and looks beautiful over other colors or alone. The Happy To Be Me lip glosses can be purchased at Walmart and Wet n Wild's website.

Fun-Sized:

This pretty glittery lip gloss is a cool soft coral, with Zoe on the bottom of the gloss.

Since the Sesame Street lip glosses remind me so much of the Zodiac lip glosses, I decided to compare them. I went back to Walmart with about half of the Zodiac lip glosses that I already own, to conduct a side by side comparison.

Fun-Sized is pretty similar to Aquarius, although Aquarius is brighter and has more of a peach undertone than Fun-Sized. Aquarius has gold glitter and Fun-Sized has silver glitter.

Fairy Tales is similar to Libra, it's just a little bit lighter in color than Fairy Tales.

It's A 10/10 is similar to Pisces, although it has a pinker tone.

Big Hugs is similar to Cancer, but has a brighter white than Cancer. It reminds me even more of December Snowflakes from the 2022 Wet n Wild Peanuts collection, actually - it's a bright white.

My honest opinion, keeping in mind I have only personally purchased and tried one of the Sesame Street lip glosses, is not to buy them if you own the similar products I compared these to, as they wouldn't provide much variation to your makeup collection. Unless of course you love Sesame Street and can't go without these!

L is for Lipstick

When I went back to Walmart to do the comparisons between the lip glosses, I decided to get both of the lipsticks too! The Sesame Street lipsticks both have a satin finish and they apply easily. While on the sheer side, they are a bit buildable (although you aren't going to get any bold, strongly pigmented lip color with these). L is for LipStick can be purchased at Walmart and Wet n Wild's website.

Be Kind:

This lipstick is a pretty pink that is a pretty close match on my lips and it isn't full coverage, with Abby Cadabby in the middle of the lipstick.

Giggles:

This pretty red subtle shimmer lipstick is even more sheer than Be Kind, with Elmo in the middle of the lipstick. Giggles can be purchased at Walmart.

I think that both of these lipsticks are pretty, but I wish they were more pigmented and had more shimmery.

Lip Care

I got really excited when I saw that they had a lip scrub and a lip mask in a stick form! If the scrub and mask were in a pot, I wouldn't have gotten them. I just don't like sticking my fingers in those little pots! Thank you Wet n Wild for making sticks!!!

Me Love Cookie:

This is such a fun lip scrub! Most of the lip scrubs I see are a light, boring color. I enjoy this dark turquoise, Cookie Monster color lip scrub! It does turn the lips blue though, so after use I needed to wipe the color and a little bit of the sugar excess off. It felt really moisturizing at first, but the more I used it, getting closer to the base of the sugar scrub, it kind of hurt my lips. I suggest applying a lip balm on the lips and then using this lip scrub to give the lips extra protection from the grit of the sugar scrub.

The lip scrub smells really good - like fresh blueberries. Me Love Cookie can be purchased at Walmart and Wet n Wilds website.

Save The Day:

The Grover's bright turquoise lip mask balm feels so soft and hydrating for the lips. When I applied this to my lips, I was surprised that it tinted my lips blue! I thought it would be clear when it was applied. It has a sweet, blueberry scent, which smells good (the scent mask is not as strong as that of the scrub). Save The Day can be purchased at Walmart and Wet n Wild's website.

Even though I'm not a Sesame Street lover, I do love these products! We've seen some fun childhood throwback collections from Wet N Wild recently, which has me hoping for some of my favorite childhood cartoons to make an appearance in future collections. If anyone at Wet N Wild is reading this, maybe consider a Scooby Doo collection in the future ;)

What childhood movie or show would you love to see featured in a future makeup collection? Let me know what you think of this collection in the comments below!
