ACE BEAUTE: WHIMSICAL BLOOM | WHIMSICAL BLOOM EYESHADOW SWATCHES AND COLOR STORY

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

Just over a month ago, I was telling a friend how much I love limited edition makeup, but especially eyeshadow palettes! (Truly, this should surprise no one.) So image my excitement when my amazing, sweet friend gifted me the limited edition Whimsical Bloom eyeshadow palette from Ace Beaute.

I had never heard of Ace Beaute before — which also means I had never tried any of their products — so to say I was excited to test this palette out is a serious understatement. New brand and limited edition? Yes please!

The packaging is absolutely adorable. The floral design is darling, the metallic embossing is such a pretty touch, and there's even a mirror inside the palette (which we always appreciate). The shade names are written in metallic gold, which feels very fancy and very on-trend. I swear metallic gold shade names are having a moment — they've shown up in the last few palettes I've gotten. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

Now let's talk about the colors, because they're so pretty. This palette is bright, colorful, and perfect for spring and summer. The top and bottom rows are mattes, while the middle row is made up of stunning chrome metallic pigments that really stand out. There are only a few neutrals here, but honestly, that just makes the palette more fun.

Some of the shades are buildable on their own, while others really shine when you use a damp brush to build up the pigment. Everything is blendable, though I did experience some fallout — nothing unmanageable, just something to keep in mind.

Now lets talk about the pigment swatches!

First row of shadows

WHIM a matte nude

KISSABLE a matte bubblegum

HAZE a matte dark rust

GLEAM a matte mellow apricot

SWOON a matte raw sienna

Second row of shadows

SPARKLE a metallic mint green in the palette, but swatches more wheat-toned

WISTFUL a metallic cherry blossom

VIOLETTE a metallic eminence purple

STARLIT a metallic icy blue (best applied with a damp brush)

AMBERGLOW a metallic pumpkin

Third row of shadows

ETHEREAL a matte pale aqua (best applied with a damp brush)

BLOSSOM a matte hot pink

WISTERIA a matte lilac

BLISS a matte pale turquoise (best applied with a damp brush)

TANGERBUD a matte tangelo orange

Overall, I think this is a really beautiful eyeshadow palette filled with fun, bright spring and summer colors. You can create so many different looks with it — from soft and playful to bold and colorful — and it was such a joy to experiment with something outside of my usual brand lineup.

Trying out a brand I'd never used before made this experience even more fun, and I'm really glad this palette was my introduction to Ace Beaute. If you love colorful eyeshadow and limited edition finds, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Have you tried anything from Ace Beaute before? Or do you also get way too excited about limited edition makeup? Let me know in the comments — I love hearing from you!

COLOURPOP: TOY STORY | PIXAR EYESHADOW PALETTE | DISNEY EYESHADOW REVIEW

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

If you've been reading here for a while, you probably won't be surprised by this, but: I love Toy Story. Like, a lot. Loved it as a kid, still love it now, will absolutely stop whatever I'm doing if it's on TV. It's one of those movies that feels like home.

When my sister gave me the Toy Story eyeshadow palette for Christmas, I was so excited. I opened it and immediately thought, "yep. This is perfect." It's so stinkin' cute, and the shadows are honestly beautiful. Nostalgia plus makeup is basically my weakness.

The packaging alone deserves a moment. It's adorable. The outside is charming, the character artwork on the inside is just as cute, and those little metallic gold cloud details around the shades! I mean...come on. It feels playful, happy, and very Toy Story. This is one of those palettes that makes you smile before you even use it.

Let's talk about the colors — because wow. The shades in this palette are so pretty. Bright, fun, and eye-catching, with lots of shimmer and metallics that really stand out. I did notice there aren't as many neutrals here compared to the How the Grinch Stole Christmas palette, but honestly, that makes sense. Toy Story is colorful, bold, and full of personality, and this palette totally reflects that.

One small downside: the shade names are a little hard to read. They're written in metallic gold on a dark ivory background, which looks nice but isn't the easiest to read. Cute idea, slightly tricky execution.

The palette includes mattes, matte shimmers, metallics, and a glitter hybrid. Everything is buildable and generally easy to work with, though I did find that some of the matte shades take a little extra effort when blending. The shimmers and metallics, however, are the real stars — they're gorgeous and add so much dimension.

Like with the How the Grinch Stole Christmas palette, I noticed that my swatches don't always match what's shown online. Some shades appear less pigmented, while other shift slightly in tone compared to the advertised swatches.

First row of shadows

PULL STRING a white matte that isn't as pigmented as I'd like, but it is buildable

HOWDY, PARTNER a butter yellow matte

REX FLEX a gorgeous chameleon shimmer with pale green and rose gold

SINCE '95 a taupe matte

GO HAMM a flamingo matte with subtle shimmer (definitely pinker in real life than in the photo)

Second row of shadows

SADDLE UP a biscuit matte

ROUNDUP GANG a light peach metallic

BO PEEP BLUE a beautiful pale turquoise shimmer

INTERGALACTIC a clover matte

BLAST OFF a bright purple shimmer-glitter hybrid a little gritty, but not full glitter-level gritty

Third row of shadows

COWGIRL a matte apple shimmer that gives more of a satin finish

GIDDY UP a stunning espresso metallic

STAR COMMAND a sapphire metallic

FALLING WITH STYLE a violet metallic

INFINITY a walnut matte

I absolutely adore this palette. It's cute, colorful, nostalgic, and full of shimmer and metallic shades that make me genuinely happy to use it. It really captures the spirit of Toy Story — fun, playful, and full of heart — while still being wearable and versatile.

If you love Disney and makeup, I would definitely recommend this palette. It's one of those products that feels special every time you open it, and honestly, that's my favorite kind.
