REFINISHED DOLLAR TREE FALL ANIMALS

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

Spotted some cute fall animals at the Dollar Tree. They had a squirrels, foxes, racoons, and hedgehogs (although I only wanted three). At $1.25 each, I couldn't resist a shiny, new project!

I decided to spray paint them metallic gold to give these cute forest friends a simple, chic fall vibe.

I used Rust-Oleum gold spray paint (available at Walmart for $5.98) - I opted for a paint with primer in it - worked perfectly on this project.

TIP: You might need to paint from a few angles, to get all of the nooks and crannies. I first painted them from an upright, standing position. When that coat of paint dried, I laid them down to spray paint them from a different angle, which allowed me to get areas like the bottom of their arms and chins.

It's as easy as that! Such a simple, affordable fall decoration! I love how they turned out and think they're perfect for fall. If you give this project a try, let me know how it turns out - I'd love to hear what color you choose to refinish your Dollar Tree figurines in.
