REFINISHED DOLLAR TREE SEAHORSE SKELETON

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

Spotted this cute (and kind of creepy) seahorse at Dollar Tree (it is $1.25), and I knew that I wanted to do something similar to the spraying painting craft that I did with the fall animals a couple of weeks ago

Sprinki decided to be my sweet little helper during this project! We used the Rust-Oleum gold spray paint (available at Walmart for $5.98).

After the paint dried I closely inspected the seahorse to make sure I sprayed every inch and that I didn't miss anything.

Once the seahorse was spray painted and dry, it was ready to be displayed! I love how this seahorse turned out - the Dollar Tree has great items to refinish! Feel free to let me know in the comments below how this project turned out for you!

WET N WILD: STITCH COLLECTION

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

I'm excited to talk about the beautiful bright Wet n Wild Stitch Collection! It was released back in June of this year, and everything in the collection is still available to buy! Between Kaitlyn and I we have the entire collection. When Kaitlyn and I first heard about the collection, we were super excited, and couldn't wait to find the collection! We looked for it at several locations in different cities and couldn't find the collection in a single store! So we got almost the whole collection on Amazon instead (the Amazon link will be at the end of the post).

The packaging on every single item in this collection is so cute and I think Wet n Wild did an amazing job with this collection! Lilo and Stitch was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, and I still enjoy it as an adult! This collection brought me back to my childhood!!!

Ohana:

This palette is probably the thing that I was the most excited about. I enjoy this cute packing and the colors in the palette are so pretty! The palette does have one pigment that is a face pigment, which means it's not eye safe. "Ohana means family" is one of my favorite sayings and themes from the movie, and I was excited to see the palette is called Ohana! The embossed designs in the shadows are so cute - I'll be disappointed when they disappear from use. It has 15 vibrant colors in soft matte, shimmer, and glitter shadows. There are natural and bright pigments in the palette. They are easy to blend, are pigmented and feel so soft on the skin! I did experience kick back and fallout while using the palette. The Ohana Shadow Palette is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Stitch Ohana Shadow Palette For Eye and Face on Amazon.

First row of shadows

Pudge is a warm Navajo shimmer.

Lei'd Back is a warm sandstone shimmer.

Aloha Beaches cool daffodil shimmer.

Family is a warm matte amber (the color isn't as bright in real life).

Still Good is a warm burnt orange-rust shimmer.

Second row of shadows

Model Citizen is a warm raspberry shimmer.

Lilo is a warm matte coral-scarlet (the color isn't as dark in real life, and isn't eye safe).

Island Time is a warm honey shimmer.

Be Wild is a warm gold-bronze with an orange-pink hue glitter.

626 is a cool ocean-periwinkle blue matte (the color is lighter in real life).

Third row of shadows

Two Dollars is a cool matte coffee brown.

Badness Level is a cool matte squash.

Roller Coaster is a cool ocean blue shimmer.

Fluffy is a cool forest green-teal shimmer

Evil Koala is a warm matte sapphire blue with subtle shimmer (the color isn't as bright in real life).

Hula Honey:

This pretty quad face palette has two highlighters and two bronzers to give you a healthy-looking sun kissed tanned glow! These face powders are smooth on the skin, so that they easily glide over the skin and blend nicely. They are very pigmented and a little powder goes a long way (be careful with the bronzers especially). I'm a bit disappointed that the lightest bronzer is too warm for my skin - I can really only wear the light highlighter in this palette. I personally love the bottom right highlighter, which I think it's so pretty on the skin! The Hula Honey Glow Face Palette is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Highlighter Face Makeup Palette Hula Honey Glow is on Amazon

Top left is a warm medium brown with a yellow hue.

Top right is a warm medium brown with gold hue shimmer.

Bottom left is a cool dark brown with a yellow hue.

Bottom right is a cool pale tan with a gold hue shimmer.

Catchin' Waves:

The Stitch makeup sponge and surfboard makeup cleaner set are darling! I almost feel the sponge is too cute to use, but the sponge feels so soft and it does a good job blending foundation. The sponge does get bigger after dampening and it's very soft and bouncy. The surfboard cleaning mat works great for small brushes, but I felt it was awkward to clean bigger brushes on the skinny surfboard. The sponge does absorb a little bit of the product. The Catchin' Waves Sponge & Scrub Set is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Catchin' Waves Makeup Sponge & Body Scrub Set is on Amazon

Chillin':

These glosses are so pretty and a high shine on the lips! They hydrate the lips and they're not sticky. Since they're an oil gloss, as opposed to a liquid lipstick, the color is lighter and sheerer on the lips than in the tube. They keep the lips hydrated and they don't feel heavy. The lip oil feels really smooth and they look so pretty on the lips. I love the shimmer in the lip oil (you can't really see the shimmer in the pictures below), and I love that my lips look shimmery! All three of the lip oils smell fruity, and both the Got The Scoop and Let's Rock are very pigmented for lip oils! The Chillin' Wet Lip Oil Gloss is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Chillin' Wet Lip Oil Lip Gloss is on Amazon.

Surf's Up:

It's a cool clear iridescent shimmer with a blue-purple hue, and I think it smells like pineapple and coconut.

Got The Scoop:

It's a cool shimmer rose pink and I think it smells like Strawberry Starbursts and coconut.

Let's Rock:

It's a warm shimmer red and I think it smells like cherry and coconut.

No Bad Days:

This gives the skin a healthy-looking glow. The spray is strong, so I suggest holding the spray almost an arm's length away (I'm not kidding when I say it's powerful!). It sprays on evenly and it doesn't streak over the makeup. The light scent smells really good. The setting mist scent reminds me of coconut. Hydrating setting mists have the reputation of making oily skin oilier even faster. While I do have combination skin (the T-zone gets really bad) and I didn't experience that at all with this mist! The oily skin came through the makeup but not faster than usual - I'd say, it was about the same if not even longer. The No Bad Days Setting Mist is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Stitch No Bad Days Setting Mist is on Amazon

Care Free:

These pretty waterproof eyeliners are very pigmented. Each of these beauties are creamy and smooth. The tip is small, you don't need to put much pressure to use them. The one thing that I didn't like about these liners is that they're hard to remove even with makeup remover. It took a while to remove it, with a lot of scrubbing, and my skin was pretty red and raw by the time I cleaned it off. The good news is that also means it's not going anywhere while you're wearing it. The Carefree Waterproof Eyeliner Set is on the Wet n Wild website and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Carefree Waterproof Eyeliner 2-Piece Set, Black and Blue is on Amazon.

Wild Energy Black:

Blue Punch Buggy:

Flying High:

The applicator is thin which makes it easier to apply to the lower lashes. The waterproof mascara does a good job of lengthening and separating, but it isn't a volumizing mascara. It glides over the lashes smoothly and it doesn't clump.  The Flying High Waterproof Mascara is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Waterproof Mascara Volumizes and Lengthens Flying High is on Amazon.

Life's A Beach:

This multi-scrub smells like coconut, and it exfoliates the skin. My skin feels softer after using the scrub. The scoop is so cute and small! Even though the claims of this scrub is a body, face and lip scrub, I would not recommend useing this on the lips. It has an unpleasant chemical aftertaste after rinsing it off the lips. The Life's A Beach Exfoliating Multi-Scrub is on the Wet n Wild website and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Exfoliating Body Scrub, Multi-Scrub Life's A Beach.

I love most of the items in this Stitch Collection! The two things missing from the collection on amazon are the Experiment 626 Makeup Brush Set and the Soakin' Up Rays Body Luminizer. You can buy the Wet n Wild Stitch Collection on Amazon.

WITCH JACK-O-LANTERN

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

I've seen some variation of this cute pumpkin decoration on social media and I was determined to make my own darling witch jack-o-lantern decor!

I bought three jack-o-lanterns at Walmart for $1.94 each, then cut the handle off of the bucket on each side.

When the handles were cut off, I proceeded to glue the three jack-o-lanterns one on top of the other using E6000 adhesive. After gluing, I grabbed a paper towel and wiped away the excess glue.

It can take 24-72 hours for the E6000 to cure, so I waited until the next day to continue!

After it dried, it was to spray paint! I used Charcoal Rust-Oleum Metallic spray paint, which I picked up at Walmart for $9.98.

I painted the trio jack-o-lanterns from two angles. I sprayed it first right-side up. After that coat dried, I turned it upside down to spray the bottom of the pumpkins and the upper lip.

After spray painting every inch, I took it to the garage for it to cure. There was a breeze outside and since the jack-o-lanterns don't weigh much, I didn't want to risk the wind knocking it over and ruining the paint job!

I bought a cute lace witch hat with black feathers and a glitter skull from Walmart for $6.98. I stuffed some plastic grocery bags into the witch hat so the hat to help it look fuller and keep its shape (tissue paper or something similar would also work).

After filling it up I put Gorilla duct tape over the hole with the bags to prevent them from falling out. When Halloween is over, the tape and bags can removed from the hat to flatten it, making it easier to store away for next year!

That's how you can make your own adorable witch jack-o-lantern decoration! It was such an easy and affordable project!!! I'd love to see your take on this project!

WET N WILD LIMITED EDITION FAVORITES

Prepare yourself  for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

I haven't been posting about many of my favorite makeup releases in the past year or two. So I thought I'd craft one epic blog post to share some of my new(ish) favorites! I've tried to ensure everything I'm sharing here is still available to purchase.

Zodiac Collection:

Wet n Wild has a beautiful Zodiac color icon lip gloss collection! Kaitlyn and I both fell in love with these lip glosses when we first saw them, and we both still adore these beautiful shimmery lip glosses! Good news - all 12 shades are perfect to wear during fall (and other times of the year)! Even better news - these glosses are very affordable and easy to find (both in stores and online)!

This shimmery collection has 12 zodiac lip glosses and between Kaitlyn and I, we own about half of them. Overall, I love the packaging of the lip gloss - however, a long term downside of the packaging is that the pretty gold design on the tube does scratch off over time, which is a shame! I think the glosses look so pretty on their own, but they also look fabulous over other lipsticks! The formula isn't sticky. There is a bit of a grit (it's really not that bad) to it because of  the shimmer and some colors are a bit difficult to take off. So don't be surprised if your lips are still shimmy after trying to remove the lip gloss color. (Although, Kaitlyn always wears these over another color, and she says she hasn't really noticed a gritty texture or had difficulty removing it at the end of the day - so the difference might be in the whether/what we wear these shimmers over.)

Pisces:

The Pisces is a sheer sparkly chrome cool pink.

Libra:

The Libra is a sparkly chrome warm pink with a subtle gold shimmer.

Capricorn:

The Capricorn is a cool dark rose with gold sparkles.

Virgo:

The Virgo is a soft cool taupe purple color with a sparkly finish.

Sagittarius:

The Sagittarius is a soft warm plum color with gold and pink sparkles.

Aries:

The Aries is a vampy deep warm burgundy satin finish and is the only lip gloss in the Zodiac collection that isn't sparkly. This does need two coats - I found one coat to be rather splotchy.

These affordable shimmery lip glosses are available on the Wet n Wild website for $3.79Amazon (some are Prime) for $2.98 - $3.18, and you can buy them at Walmart for $3.18!

Aren't they so pretty and shimmery? Kaitlyn and I enjoy these lip glosses! I highly recommend getting yourself one...or all 12!

Little Twin Stars Collection:

I have the adorable face palette and Kaitlyn has both of the pretty lip mousse in the Wet n Wild Little Twin Stars collection but I can only find one available. Or if you want to take more of a go-big-or-go-home approach, you can purchase the entire collection on Amazon.

The Cotton Candy Clouds face palette is such a cute palette, and I think the embossed details in the shadows are so darling! It has 15 vibrant colors in soft matte, shimmer, and glitter shadows. The palette even smells good when you open it - it reminds me of maybe a fruity Lip Smacker. Is it weird to say that makeup smells good?! For the most part, the shadows are pigmented, blend easily and glide over the eyes beautifully. I love how the palette has both natural colors and fun pops of color! The glitter shadows are not as pigmented as the other colors, so I like wearing them with a similar color underneath. I did experience a kick up in the palette, and a bit of fallout.

Please note this is a face palette. Four of the pigments aren't eye safe, although I have seen several other people use the not-eye safe shadows on their eyes, and they didn't have any reaction. More on those four pigments later.

First row of shadows

Twinning is a cool champagne shimmer.

Timid is a cool light peachy pink with a subtle shimmer (isn't eye safe).

Sugar High is a cool peachy-pink glitter (isn't eye safe).

Lala is a pretty cool pink shimmer (isn't eye safe).

Double the Fun is a warm lilac matte.

Second row of shadows

Sweet As Candy is a matte cool peach-beige color with a subtle shimmer.

Dec 24 is a warm peachy-coral matte.

Moon Dust is a cool white glitter.

Kiki is a matte cool blue with a subtle shimmer.

Curious is a deep warm plum matte (isn't eye safe).

Third row of shadows

Thinking Out Cloud is a warm beige matte.

Moon Beam is a warm gold glitter.

Star-Fishing is a cool silver glitter.

Fluffy Skies is a shimmery cool turquoise.

Dream Galaxies is a warm medium brown matte.

Now onto the lip mousse!

Lost In A Cloud:

The Lost In A Cloud lip mousse is a beautiful smooth matte-satin finish. I adore this shade of the lip mousse, and it feels so soft, creamy and hydrated when applied! It's medium coverage and is streak free. The mousse is so easy to apply that it just glides right over the lips! There is a little bit of glitter in the lip mousse, but not really that noticeable unless you're looking for the glitter. Lost In A Cloud is a warm matte rose.

I think the shadow palette is so cute and the lip mousse is so pretty with more of a natural look. The Cotton Candy Cloud palette can be purchased on Amazon for $13.99. The Lost In A Cloud lip mousse can also be purchased on Amazon for $5.99 and they are both Prime!

Care Bears Collection:

Wet n Wild released the Care Bears Collection back in April of this year. I was grocery shopping at my local Smith's Marketplace recently, and what did I spot out of the corner of my eye? The Care Bears Collection, even though the collection was released months ago! I was surprised to see it not only at Smith's, but that it was there at all! I'll be completely honest, I have never been a Care Bears fan (even though my mom disagrees, saying that I loved them when I was younger!), so I wasn't super excited when I heard about this collection (unlike the Stitch Collection, which will be in a future post). But when I saw it in person, I couldn't resist buying the Caring Counts eye and face palette. I also got the Give Me TLC lip care kit, since I was running out of my lip scrub and didn't have a lip mask.

I couldn't help buying the Caring Counts eye and face palette when it has such pretty fun bright colors! Again, I think the embossed details in the shadows are cute! It has 15 vibrant colors in soft matte, shimmer, and glitter shadows (just like the last palette). The shadows are pigmented and most of them feel soft, blend easily and glide over the eyes beautifully. Two of the shadows aren't eye safe - more on that later (as with the Twin Stars palette, I have seen several people who use the not eye-safe shadows on their eyes and they didn't have any reaction). In my opinion, the glitter shadows in the palette pop best with a similar color underneath - I don't recommend wearing these on their own. I did experience a kick up in the palette, and a bit of fallout.

First row of shadows

Love-A-Lot Bear is a matte warm pink.

Tenderheart Bear is a matte cool peachy-tan.

Birthday Bear is a warm shimmering gold.

Good Luck Bear is a warm shimmer pea green.

Wish Bear is a matte cool dark teal.

Second row of shadows

Cheer Bear is a warm pinky-red glitter.

Funshine Bear is a warm gold glitter with a little bit of orange.

Friend Bear is a warm shimmer orange.

Heart Song Bear is a cool shimmer teal.

Bedtime Bear is a cool turquoise glitter (isn't eye safe).

Third row of shadows

Share Bear is a shimmering cool icy periwinkle.

Care-A-Lot Bear is a shimmer cool iridescent white, with a blue hue.

Harmony Bear is a shimmering warm purple.

Best Friend Bear matte cool plum (isn't eye safe, it also does stain the skin pink if you wear it for a short amount of time).

Gummy Bear matte cool royal blue.

The Give Me TLC lip care kit (they can be purchased separately if you're only interested in one of them) comes with a lip scrub and a lip mask. They both have soothing scents!

Make It Sweet:

This exfoliating lip scrub is gentle on the lips and hydrates as well! When used the lips feel softer and smoother. It's a Birthday Cake scent (which is kinda disappointing - I was really hoping it would smell like honey). I was pleasantly surprised that it was in a stick form, as I was assuming that it would be in a pot! I like that I don't need to put my finger in a small messy pot!!! If you just want to purchase this separately, it can be ordered on Amazon.

Play, Sleep & Repeat:

This overnight lip mask balm is on the sheer side when applied to the lips. It also helps make the lips softer, smooth and feel hydrated. It's a lavender scent which, I know a lot of people love, but if you're someone who isn't a fan of the smell of lavender (like my sister Kaitlyn), I wouldn't recommend this for you. Again, I was happy when I discovered that this is in a stick form as well!!! If you want to purchase this separately, it can be ordered on Amazon.

The eye and face palette is so cute and the lip scrub as well as the lip mask feels great! The Caring Counts palette can be purchased on Walgreens online for $15.99. The Give Me TLC lip care kit can be purchased on Amazon for $10.99 and it's even Prime! Or maybe with a little luck, you too can snag this collection at your local grocery store!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my favorite limited edition makeup and lip care products to hit shelves in the last little while (and that are still available for purchase)! Let me know which products you tried out, or if you get something else from any of these collections!
