REFINISHED DOLLAR TREE SEAHORSE SKELETON | BUDGET COASTAL DECOR DIY

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

I spotted this cute (and slightly creepy...but in a fun way?) seahorse skeleton at Dollar Tree for $1.25 and immediately knew I wanted to give it a little makeover. I did a similar spray-paint refresh on some fall animals a couple weeks ago, and I loved how those turned out — so of course I had to do it again.

Because honestly...who can resist a bougie glow-up on a $1.25 skeleton?

Sprinki decided to be my sweet little helper during this project — supervising, of course, and making sure everything met her very high quality standards. (Moral support counts as helping.)

For this makeover, we used Rust-Oleum Gold Spray Paint, which I picked up at Walmart for $5.98.

After the paint dried, I closely inspected the seahorse to make sure I had sprayed every inch and didn't miss any little crevices. Skeleton decor has a lot of tiny details, so it's super easy to overlook spots if you're not paying attention.

Once the seahorse was fully spray painted and completely dry, it was ready to be displayed!

I absolutely love how this little seahorse turned out. It went from creepy Dollar Tree shelf decor...to shiny coastal glam in just one coat of paint. Dollar Tree seriously has some amazing items to refinish if you're willing to get a little crafty with them.

If you end up trying this project, feel free to let me know in the comments how yours turned out — I'd love to see your creations!

WET N WILD: STITCH COLLECTION | FULL COLLECTION REVIEW & SWATCHES

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

I'm so excited to talk about the beautiful, bright Wet n Wild Stich Collection! This collection originally released back in June, and the good news is that everything is still available to purchase!

Between Kaitlyn and I, we have the entire collection. When we first heard it was coming out, we were ridiculously excited and immediately went on the hunt for it...only to find absolutely nothing. We checked multiple stores in different cities and still cam up empty-handed. So naturally, we turned to Amazon and ordered almost the entire collection there instead (I'll mention availability again at the end of the post).

The packaging across this whole collection is adorable. Wet n Wild really did such a great job with the design details. Lilo & Stitch was one of my favorite movies growing up, and honestly...I still love it as an adult. This collection hit me right in the childhood nostalgia.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ohana:

This palette was the item I was most excited about.

The packaging is super cute, and the shades inside are just as pretty. The palette does contain one face pigment that isn't eye safe, so just keep that in mind when using it.

"Ohana means family" has always been one of my favorite quotes from the movie, so I loved that they named the palette Ohana. The embossed designs in the shadows are adorable — I'm going to be sad when they disappear from use.

It includes 15 shades in matte, shimmer, and glitter finishes — a mix of neutrals and bright pops of color. The shadows are pigmented, soft, and blend easily. I did experience some kickback in the pan and a bit of fallout during application.

The Ohana Shadow Palette is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Stitch Ohana Shadow Palette For Eye and Face on Amazon.

First Row

Pudge — warm Navajo shimmer

Lei'd Back — warm sandstone shimmer

Aloha Beaches — cool daffodil shimmer

Family — warm matte amber (less bright in person)

Still Good — warm burnt orange-rust shimmer

Second Row

Model Citizen — warm raspberry shimmer

Lilo — warm matte coral scarlet (lighter in person, and not eye safe)

Island Time — warm honey shimmer

Be Wild — warm gold bronze with orange-pink hue glitter

626 — cool ocean-periwinkle matte (lighter in person)

Third Row

Two Dollars — cool matte coffee brown

Badness Level — cool matte squash

Roller Coaster — cool ocean blue shimmer

Fluffy — cool forest green teal shimmer

Evil Koala — warm matte sapphire with subtle shimmer (lighter in person)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hula Honey:

This quad face palette includes two highlighters and two bronzers for a sun-kissed glow.

The powders feel smooth and glide nicely over the skin. They're very pigmented — especially the bronzers — so a light hand is definitely recommended.

I will say, I was a little disappointed that the lightest bronzer still runs too warm for my skin tone, so I mainly stick to the highlighters. My favorite is the bottom right shade — it looks so pretty on the skin.

The Hula Honey Glow Face Palette is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Highlighter Face Makeup Palette Hula Honey Glow is on Amazon

Top left — warm medium brown with yellow hue

Top right — warm medium brown with gold hue shimmer

Bottom left — cool dark brown with a yellow hue

Bottom right — cool pale tan with a gold hue shimmer

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Catchin' Waves:

The Stitch sponge and surfboard cleaning mat are adorable. Honestly, the sponge is almost too cute to use.

The sponge is soft, expands when damp, and blends foundation well — though it does absorb a bit of product. The surfboard cleaning mat works great for smaller brushes, but it feels awkward trying to clean larger brushes on such a skinny surface.

The Catchin' Waves Sponge & Scrub Set is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Catchin' Waves Makeup Sponge & Body Scrub Set is on Amazon

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chillin':

These glosses are high-shine, hydrating, and non-sticky. Since they're lip oils, the color payoff is sheerer on the lips than in the tube.

They feels smooth, lightweight, and have a pretty shimmer (though it's hard to see in photos). All three scents are fruity, and Got The Scoop and Let's Rock are surprisingly pigmented for lip oils.

The Chillin' Wet Lip Oil Gloss is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Chillin' Wet Lip Oil Lip Gloss is on Amazon.

Surf's Up:

Cool clear iridescent shimmer with blue-purple hue. Smells like pineapple and coconut.

Got The Scoop:

Cool shimmer rose pink. Smells like strawberry Starbursts and coconut.

Let's Rock:

Warm shimmer red. Smells like cherry and coconut.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No Bad Days:

This setting mist gives the skin a healthy glow. The spray is powerful — I definitely recommend holding it almost arm's length away when applying.

It sprays evenly without streaking and has a light coconut scent that smells really nice.

I have combination skin (oily T-zone), and I didn't notice it making my skin oilier faster —which hydrating mists sometimes do. My oils came through at about the normal rate.

The No Bad Days Setting Mist is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Stitch No Bad Days Setting Mist is on Amazon

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Care Free:

These eyeliners are very pigmented, creamy, and smooth. The tips are small, so they're easy to apply without much pressure.

The downside? They're stubborn to remove. Even with makeup remover, it took a lot of scrubbing — my skin was pretty red afterward. The upside to that, though, is that they absolutely do not budge while wearing them.

The Carefree Waterproof Eyeliner Set is on the Wet n Wild website and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Carefree Waterproof Eyeliner 2-Piece Set, Black and Blue is on Amazon.

Wild Energy Black:

Blue Punch Buggy:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flying High:

The thin applicator makes it easy to reach lower lashes. It lengthens and separates well but isn't very volumizing.

It glides on smoothly and doesn't clump.

The Flying High Waterproof Mascara is on the Wet n Wild website, and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Waterproof Mascara Volumizes and Lengthens Flying High is on Amazon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Life's A Beach:

This coconut-scented scrub exfoliates well and leaves skin feeling softer. The little scoop inside is adorable.

Even though it's marketed for body, face, and lips — I wouldn't recommend using it on the lips. It leaves an unpleasant chemical aftertaste after rinsing.

The Life's A Beach Exfoliating Multi-Scrub is on the Wet n Wild website and Wet n Wild Disney Lilo and Stitch Exfoliating Body Scrub, Multi-Scrub Life's A Beach.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I love most items in the Stitch Collection. It's colorful, nostalgic, and fun — especially if you're a Lilo & Stitch fan.

The two items missing from Amazon when it was ordered were the Experiment 626 Makeup Brush Set and the Soakin' Up Rays Body Luminizer, but the rest of the collection is available there if you're trying to track it down.

WITCH JACK-O-LANTERN | WALMART DIY STACKED PUMPKIN DECOR

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

I've seen some variation of this cute pumpkin decoration floating around social media for a while now, and I was determined to make my own darling witch jack-o-lantern decor!

I picked up three jack-o-lantern buckets from Walmart for $1.94 each. The first step was cutting the handles off each bucket — on both sides — so they could stack nicely without anything ticking out.

When the handles were cut off, I glued the three jack-o-lanterns together, stacking them one on top of the other using E6000 adhesive. After gluing them, I grabbed a paper towel and wiped away the excess glue before it had a chance to fully set.

E6000 takes anywhere from 24-72 hours to fully cure, so I let the pumpkins sit overnight before moving on to the next step.

Once everything was fully dry, it was time to spray paint!

I used Charcoal Rust-Oleum Metallic spray paint, which I found at Walmart for $9.98.

To make sure I covered every inch, I painted the stacked pumpkins from two angles. I started spraying them right-side up first. After that coat dried, I flipped the entire stack upside down to spray the bottoms and the upper lip areas of the pumpkins.

After everything was fully coated, I moved the pumpkins into the garage to cure. There was a bit of a breeze outside, and since the buckets are so lightweight, I didn't want to risk the wind knocking them over and ruining the paint job after all that work!

For the finishing touch, I found the cutest lace witch hat at Walmart for $6.98. It has black feathers and a glitter skull on it — which honestly made it even more perfect for this project.

To help the hat keep its shape, I stuffed plastic grocery bags inside (tissue paper or stuffing would work too). This made the hat look fuller and sit better on top of the pumpkins.

After filling the hat, I placed Gorilla duct tape over the opening to keep the bags from falling out. The nice thing about this is that when Halloween is over, you can remove the tape and bags so the hat flattens for easy storage until next year.

That's it — your very own adorable witch jack-o-lantern decoration!

This project was super easy, affordable, and makes such a fun statement piece for Halloween decor. I love how tall and whimsical it looks — like a little pumpkin witch keeping watch over the house.

I'd love to see your take on this project if you make one!

WET N WILD LIMITED EDITION MAKEUP REVIEW | ZODIAC, LITTLE TWIN STARS & CARE BEARS

Prepare yourself  for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

I haven't shared many of my makeup releases over the past year or two, so I thought it would be fun to put together one epic roundup featuring some of my newer limited edition favorites. I made sure that everything included in this post is still available to purchase — because there's nothing worse than falling in love with a product you can't get anymore!

If you love affordable drugstore makeup, cute packaging, and fun collaborations, then you're going to love these Wet n Wild collections. Today we're talking about the Zodiac Lip Glosses, the adorable Little Twin Stars collection, and the colorful Care Bears release.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wet n Wild Zodiac Collection:

Wet n Wild a beautiful Zodiac Color Icon Lip Gloss collection, and Kaitlyn and I immediately fell in love when we first saw them. These glosses are packed with shimmer and inspired by all 12 zodiac signs — making them perfect for astrology lovers and sparkle fans alike.

Even better, these lip glosses are super affordable and easy to find both in stores and online. Between the two of us, we own about half of the shades — and honestly, it's tempting to collect them all!

This collection features12 shimmery shades, perfect for fall or any time of the year. The packaging is really pretty, although the gold design on the tubes can scratch off over time — minor heartbreak, but still worth it. These glosses feel smooth on the lips, aren't sticky, and pair beautifully over other lipsticks. There's a tiny bit of shimmer grit, and some shades can be a little tricky to remove. Don't be surprised if your lips stay sparkly after trying to clean them off! (Kaitlyn always wears these over another lip color and hasn't noticed any gritty texture, so maybe it's a layering thing.)

Pisces:

Sheer sparkly chrome cool pink.

Libra:

Sparkly chrome warm pink with a subtle gold shimmer.

Capricorn:

Cool dark rose with gold sparkles.

Virgo:

Soft cool taupe purple color with a sparkly finish.

Sagittarius:

Soft warm plum color with gold and pink sparkles.

Aries:

Vampy deep warm burgundy satin finish — the only non-sparkly gloss in the Zodiac collection. Two coats recommended for full coverage.

These affordable glosses are available on the Wet n Wild website for $3.79Amazon for $2.98 - $3.18, and Walmart for $3.18. Aren't they gorgeous? I highly recommend snagging one...or all 12

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wet n Wild Little Twin Stars Collection:

I have the adorable Cotton Candy Clouds face palette, and Kaitlyn has the lip mousse. The whole collection can be purchased on Amazon if you want to go all-in.

Cotton Candy Clouds:

The Cotton Candy Clouds palette is incredibly cute! Embossed details, 15 vibrant shades in matte, shimmer, and glitter, and it even smells lightly fruity — maybe a Lip Smacker vibe? Most shadows are pigmented, blend easily, and glide onto the eyelids beautifully. Glitter shades work best over a similar color base. Some shades aren't technically eye-safe — but many people, including me, have used them on the eyes without issue.

First Row

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lip Mousse

Lost In A Cloud:

The lip mousse has a smooth matte-satin finish, creamy, hydrated feel, and medium coverage. A tiny bit of glitter is in the mousse, but you really have to look for it. The shade is a warm matte rose — perfect for a natural, everyday look.

The palette can be purchased on Amazon for $13.99, and the lip mousse is $5.99 on Amazon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wet n Wild Care Bears Collection:

Released in April, I spotted the Care Bears Collection at Smith's Marketplace recently — months after its initial release! I wasn't initially a Care Bears fan (my mom insists I was as a kid), but I couldn't resist the colorful eye and face palette and the Give Me TLC lip care kit.

Caring Counts:

The Caring Counts palette has 15 vibrant shades in soft matte, shimmer, and glitter. Pigmentation and bendability are great, and glitter shades pop best over a similar base. Two shadows aren't eye-safe, but I've tried them without issue.

First Row

Love-A-Lot Bear - matte warm pink

Tenderheart Bear - matte cool peachy-tan

Birthday Bear - warm shimmering gold

Good Luck Bear - warm shimmer pea green

Wish Bear - matte cool dark teal

Second row of shadows

Cheer Bear - warm pinky-red glitter

Bedtime Bear - cool turquoise glitter (not eye safe)

Third row of shadows

Care-A-Lot Bear - shimmer iridescent white with a blue hue

Harmony Bear - shimmering warm purple

Best Friend Bear - matte cool plum (not eye safe, can stain slightly)

Gummy Bear - matte cool royal blue

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Give Me TLC Lip Care Kit:

I bought the Give Me TLC Lip Care Kit as a set, and honestly, it's like a little spa day for your lips! It comes with both a lip scrub and an overnight lip mask, so your lips get double the pampering.

Make It Sweet:

This gentle lip scrub is super soft on the lips while still doing its job. It smells like Birthday Cake (not honey, but still yummy!) and comes in a convenient stick — no poking around in a tiny pot with your fingers. Using this will leave your lips feeling smooth, soft, and ready for any lip color you want to throw at them. If you just want the scrub by itself, you can grab it on Amazon.

Play, Sleep & Repeat:

This hydrating overnight lip mask keeps your lips soft and smooth while you snooze. It's lavender-scented (Kaitlyn's not a fan, but I personally don't mind it) and also comes in stick form, so no mess while you're half-asleep. Apply before bed and wake up with lips that feel pampered and ready for a cozy day. The lip mask can be purchased on Amazon.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, the Caring Counts palette and the Give Me TLC Lip Care Kit make the perfect pair — bright, fun shadows for your eyes and soft, hydrated lips to match. Both are playful, easy to use, and perfect for adding a pop of color while keeping things low-stress and fun.

If you pick up any of these, let me know what you try first — I want to hear all about your favorites!
