WET N WILD L.E. CHROME NAIL POLISH COLLECTION

Prepare yourself for another post in our Bargain Alert series...

If you are a nail polish fan, you might want to sit down for this...this is HUGE news!!! Are you ready for this? Okay, her it is: you can get a pack of FOUR Wet n Wild nail polishes from the LIMITED EDITION "Chrome" collection for only $3!!!

In case you're not squealing with joy, let me help you understand the significance of this life-brightening opportunity. Wet n Wild (one of our FAVORITE cosmetic brands) released a limited edition "Chrome" collection in summer of 2012, and they were $3-$4 a piece. The colors are beautiful varied, and metallic in finish, and we haven't seen them for over a year now, until today at Walgreen's...

So the fact that they are back at Walgreen's in sets, allowing you to get four polishes for the price of one, is  a MIRICALE! Kaitlyn and I were talking about how pretty these polishes were earlier today, and then we went to Walgreen's a few hours later and made this discovery. I'm not making this up--it is truly a miracle!!! I can hardly believe these beautiful metallic gems are back and available at such an affordable price!!!

Since we just picked these up today (and since we cannot guarantee that all Walgreen's locations are carrying them at this time, and you might not be able to get your hands on them), we will not be doing  full review on them. We haven't even had a chance to try them out yet. But we would like to share lots of pictures and color descriptions so you can be on the look out for the shades you like best! If you don't find these at your local Walgreen's, you might want to consider checking for them at Burlington or Ross. We have been known the find discontinued Wet n Wild products there too.

Okay, so they had at least three different sets, some of which overlapped a little. Kaitlyn and I each got one, and one of the colors I have is also in her set. Here are the two different sets we have:

Mine includes the shades (from left to right): "Steel the Spotlight" (a classy silver), "A Show at the Palladium" (a beautiful, true gold), "Precious Petals" (a bright , cool pink), and "Penny for Your Thoughts" (a pretty copper).

Kaitlyn's includes the shades (from left to right): "A Penny for your Thoughts" (the same pretty copper), "Stay Outta My Bismuth" (a medium shade of blue with silver undertones), "Grew Up in Cobalt-imore" (a stunning cobalt blue), and "I Got a Com-pewter" (a funky light green that leans yellowish).

Of course, all of them are shimmery, metallic, and beautiful! We are SOOOO excited about finding these, and at such a bargain! We just had to share!!! Our sweet Sprinkle loves them too!

Thanks for checking out our blog! We hope you can find this great deal near you!!! If you do find these nail polishes (or any other discontinued/limited edition Wet n Wild products), leave us a comment and tell us where you found them and how much you paid! Happy bargain hunting!!!

EASY WAY TO KEEP CURLING RIBBON IN PLACE

Prepare yourself for another post in our Quick Tip series...

Curling ribbon is great, right?! It's the perfect way to add that extra "oomph" to any gift, but sometimes it can be a pain to use, because it does not stay curled around the ribbon bobbin, Even tape does not always keep it in place. We dare you to tell us the situation in this picture doesn't look familiar to you...

It is SO annoying. But fortunately, there is a pretty easy fix! Simply make a small incision (I just wanted to know what it felt like to talk like a doctor--apparently it's not as cool as I expected--so scratch that)...Just take some scissors and make a tiny cut on the, um, top part (I don't know what to call it) of the bobbin, and slide the end of the curling ribbon in there, and it will actually STAY!

Okay, so maybe that was not the best way to explain this little tip, but hopefully you found it helpful anyhow! This is such a quick and easy way to keep your ribbon (and sanity) in place! Thanks for reading!

OUR PUPPIES LOVE THEIR HOUSE

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

We have two adorable puppies, and since they are indoor-outdoor dogs, we wanted them to have an extra special house of their own for the times they are outside!!! My dad found the doghouse plans online for their little home a n built it himself. Then, Kaitlyn and I painted the house to add some color and personality! We absolutely LOVE how it turned out--and Shadow and Sprinkle love it, too!

We purchased two different paint colors from Lowes to paint the house. We bought a gallon of Valspar exterior paint with a satin finish in "Twinkle Night" and a quart of Olympic exterior paint with a satin finish in "Yellow Lettuce." "Twinkle Night" is a medium to dark shad of purple-toned blue, which we used as a base for the whole house; "Yellow Lettuce" is a light, bright green, which we used for the trim, plaques, and accenting paw prints. We picked up paw print stencils for $1.80 at Hobby Lobby with our 40% off coupon, and used a small, rounded sponge brush (specifically for stenciling) to lightly sponge on "Yellow Lettuce" paw prints! Our dad also built plaques with each puppy's name on it to finish off the house.

If you are interested in building a similar doghouse, you can check out other customer completed doghouses at http://www.doghouseplans.com/customers.cfm for some extra inspiration. You can also purchase the doghouse plans at http://www.doghouseplans.com.

Materials:

-House plans (www.doghouseplans.com)

-Paint (Home Depot, $ varies depending on brand and size)

-Sponge brush ($2-$3ish (set), Hobby Lobby)

-Paw stencils ($1.80 with 40% off coupon, Hobby Lobby)

We hope you love their dog house as much as we do!!! It was so much fun to paint, and our puppies love to cuddle up in it...and play on top of it! Thanks for reading!!! :)
