"Call You Later" (from the Naughty or Nice collection) is a very pretty, light, bright green with fine shimmer. It's a perfect Christmas color!

"Aubergine" (also from the Naughty or Nice collection) is a stunning purplish maroon, with no sparkle! It is this succulent berry shade that is perfect for fall and winter!

"Gilded" (from the Glitz and Glittered collection) is a sheer, peachy champagne with gold and red shimmer. It is stunning, and the perfect topcoat for golden shades.

"Full Spectrum" (from the Glitz and Glittered collection) is a pretty polish leaded with chunky pink and silver glitter! What a fun one this is!

"Ice Dream" (from the Glitz and Glittered collection) has gorgeous bright blue and sparkling silver shimmer! This is a beautiful winter color!

"Triple Platinum" (from the Mirror Metallics collection) is a stunning, grayish purple with a  shimmer, metallic finish! This is one of my favorites!

"Red Eye" (from the Mirror Metallics collection) is a bright vivid red with a shimmer!

"Gold Tinsel" (from the Tinsel 'N Ice collection) is a pretty unique polish with stringy, tinsel-like sparkle, in a golden hue!

"24 Karat" (from the Sheer Luster Topcoats collection) is a very light, sparkly golden champagne! Very pretty!

Gotta love these fun Christmas polishes!!!

DIY ZEBRA PRINT TUTU CANS

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

If you have been following our blog, then you know this is not the first time we are featuring a tutu can--it's the third! We initially made this pink and girly can as a pencil holder for our dad to put in the garage (because he constantly loses pencils out there, and we thought making it extra girly would be funny). We loved it so much, that we made a second one, and this green cutie hold paintbrushes in our crafty area. I decided tutu cans would be PERFECT for storing things like makeup brushes and eyeliners on my vanity, so I made some zebra print ones with pink tutus to go with my bedroom decor!

The zebra print tutu cans are my favorites, so we figured we had to share them with you and tell you how to make your own--just in case you missed the first two!

Step 1: Gather your supplies to make a tutu can! You'll need a can (DUH!), paper of your choice (we picked up a few sheets of zebra print paper from Hobby Lobby for less than $1), tulle (we found some pink remnant tulle on clearance for about 70 cents, and I got a few other shades of pink tulle at 79 cents per yard--but I got 24 inches, not a whole yard), a paper cutter and/or scissors, a pencil, a  hot glue gun, a rubber band, some sequins (which I got at Hobby Lobby for $1.50 on sale--but you can use any ribbon, you don't need sequins), and some kind of doodads to finish the look (I used some pink flowers that came in a big set from Hobby Lobby for about $3).

Step 2: Measure the height of the can, use your pencil to mark the paper that length, cut the paper, and snip off the extra width.

Step 3: Hot glue the paper to the can.

Step 4: Cut the tulle into LOTS of strips that are about the height of the can, and an inch (give or take a little) wide.

Step 5: Put the rubber band on the can, placing it in the middle-ish, and start putting layers of tulle strips into the rubber band.

Step 6: When you have the desired amount of tulle (keeping in mind that it will double when you fold), fold the tulle above the rubber band down. And don't forget to treat it like puppy and pet it a lot until it decides to STAY down.

Step 7: Hot glue sequins (or ribbon) over the "waist" and try to cover up the rubber band.

Step 8: Add the finish touch: the doodads! I just hot glues on my flowers.

And that's it! Now you have yourself a cute tutu can! You can create so many variations. We made four different zebra tutu cans!

We hope you like these as  much as we do! They are so cute and fun to make--plus, they make stylish storage! If you try making your own tutu can, don't forget to tell us how it went!

WET N WILD COLOR ICON EYE SHADOW SINGLES WITH EYE PENCILS, $1 AT DOLLAR TREE

Prepare yourself for another post in our Bargain Alert series...

Hey, y'all! We found SO many amazing products at Dollar Tree last night, and we are super excited to share our bargain finds with you! We'll probably share them in a couple different posts over the next few days, so GET EXCITED! We will start out with these Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye Shadow Singles--which also come with free (smaller size) Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye & Brow Pencils! Usually the single shadows cost around $1.99 each, and the pencils cost 99 cents each. So, $1 for both is amazing!

"Panther" is a matte black shadow--and it is super concentrated and deep! If you like to line your eyes with eye shadow, then this is perfect! This is also great for deepening a smokey eye! What a versatile, high-quality product this is!

"Glamrock" is a cool shade of violet with silver sparkle. This may not be as versatile as "Panther," but it sure is pretty and a nice addition to our collections! (P.S. This is less gray in person--sorry for the not-perfectly-accurate photo! It is a truer purple, but definitely cool-toned. It reminds me very much of pictures I've seen of Mac's "Parfait Amour.")

"Sellout" is a bright, beautiful, cool pink! It is loaded with magenta and silver shimmer. This may be the hardest of the three to pull off, but I have a feeling I will be very glad that I have this when I am getting ready for a holiday party in the near-ish future!

These shadows are super pigmented, and have fun names, too!

Let's talk about the eye liners that come with the shadows!

They all come with the same color: "Black." I have tried Wet n Wild's Color Icon Eye & Brow Pencils before, and I am a fan! They are pigmented, creamy, and easy to apply. They stay put all day on me when I wear them on my upper or lower lash line, which is I where I almost always wear eye liner. But, on they only last two or three hours on my waterline (which does not bug me since I maybe wear eye liner on my waterline twice a month, and I don't use these for that--but I just thought I'd throw that out there in case you were interested in wearing this liner on your waterline). I love that they are super affordable, pigmented, and easy to apply.

That wraps up this post! Thanks for reading, and don't forget to tell us about your Dollar Tree bargain buys!

DIY CHRISTMAS DECOR: YARD-FRIENDLY ORNAMENTS

Prepare yourself for another post in our Crafty Chaos series...

If you are looking for a super easy, quick, and inexpensive way to give your yard some Christmas cheer, then listen up! All you need are some cheap ornaments, rubber bands, and a few trees or bushes. We picked up 12-packs of ornaments at Dollar Tree (Saratoga Springs, UT location), and used rubber bands--which are far more versatile, tree-friendly, and weather-proof than wire hooks--to hang them on trees in our yard. This simple DIY decor idea did not take much time and only cost a few dollars, but it made a BIG difference!

Check out this cute tree! The ornaments give it so much color and character.

And here's more of a want-to-be-a-bush tree, which looks equally festive...

Oh, and of course, we have to show you our darling Charlie Brown tree!!!

I know, I know--you are blown away by how cute and simple this project is, but you're not sure how we hung the ornaments with rubber bands. Well, don't worry, we will show you how! It is so easy! Even our puppy, Shadow, can do it (just don't ask him to prove it).

First, "thread" a thin rubber band through the hole (that the wire hook would normally go through).

Then, stick one end of the rubber band through the "bunny ear" in the other side, and pull it through until you have a nice knot!

And that's it! Then, you can hang up your ornaments on trees and not be so worried that the wind will knock them off! YAY for a yard-friendly DIY solution for hanging ornaments! Although I'm not sure how well the ornaments themselves will hold up through our Utah winter storms. I wonder if we'll be able to reuse the same ornaments each year, or if we will have to repurchase ornaments next year (which is not so bad, considering we can do it for less than $5, thanks to Dollar Tree). We will have to update you on that later, but if any of you have hung ornaments outdoors before, we would love to hear your experience, too!

Thanks for reading! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and have fun preparing for Christmas! Happy decorating!

ENHANCING NATURAL WAVES

Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...

Wavy hair can be many things...Frizzy. Unevenly curled. Dry. Lackluster. Crazy...But one thing it's not is unmanageable. That means that if you take good care of your natural waves and use the right styling products, you can trade in the frizzy for smooth, the unevenly curled for more uniform waves, the dry for conditioned, the lackluster for shiny, and crazy for beautiful. Waves, when in the right conditions and with the right tools, can be shaped, controlled, and "beautified."

I have tried a bunch of products and techniques to help shape my waves and tame the fizz over the last few years. I have finally found the right techniques and products for my hair, and I want to share them with you other wavy-haired girls who might find this helpful...if you even care to know...I have actually had a few girls ask me over the last few months how I do it, so apparently someone must care, right?!

I use three products that increase the bounce, decrease the frizz, and don't leave a crunch! I imagine these would work great for most wavy-haired girls, but if somethings works better for you, then don't forget to tell us about it in the comment section below!!!

Okay, so I guess I'll just go ahead and tell you how I style my hair when I want to rock the natural waves (please note they are WAVES, not CURLS, so I don't know how these products/techniques work on someone who has curly ringlets, or someone who has no wave at all)...

The first thing I do is brush my hair, and then I dampen it (only a little--just enough to make my hair "shape-able") with a spray bottle of water.

Then, I add the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Oil Treatment, which is super healthy for the hair! This helps add shine and reduce frizz, and makes my hair softer. It smells, good too. I love this stuff!

Then I scrunch it up with the Garnier Fructis Surfer Hair Power Putty. This leaves my hair a whole lot softer than gel, and even mousse. It's kind of amazing like that--and it smells good! This probably the BEST product I've found for making my waves smooth, even, and bouncy without the stickiness. (Kaitlyn even likes this to help shaper her straight hair.) When I scrunch my hair, I flip my head upside down because it helps give volume and makes the wave a little more even.

I finish off by spraying my hair with the Herbal Esseneces Tousle Me Softly Spray Gel. If I spray too much, it can leave my hair a bit stiff, but not too much. It's fairly forgiving, and I can use it to scrunch up my hair more or just to set my style (like a hairspray), so it's very versatile, as well. It smells yummy, too!

And that's how I style my wavy hair! We hope this helps, ladies! Don't forget to leave us a comment and tell us about your favorite hair products!
