Prepare yourself for another post in our Feeling Pretty series...
I found some unique Sinful Colors nail polishes, they have a smoothie texture! They're in collaboration with the new ambassador Winnie Harlow. Each polish is $2.99 and can be found at Target (or on Target's website). There are quite a few polishes in the Fresh Squeeze collection, but I only have three of them.
I can only speak to the three that I have of course, but don't feel textured; instead, they're smooth, just like any regular nail polish. However, the colors do look like smoothies, they just aren't textured as indicated on the sticker. The nail polishes are a jelly formula and, the first layer of polish is thin, but it does build well.
Berry Crush is a berry pink with fine matte black glitter that dries to a matte finish. The Berry Crush is based on a cherry, I don't personally think of a cherry when I look at this polish, but I do think it's a pretty color. I was told that my nails looked like a strawberry and a watermelon. For each of the colors, I also tried them with a gloss clear coat on top. Kaitlyn and I both like the gloss finish on Berry Crush.
Lime Light is a kiwi green with fine matte black glitter that dries to a matte finish. While the sticker and name reference limes, I'd say this color looks more like a kiwi. This nail polish is the thinnest of the formulas. Pictured are both the original matte finish and the color with a clear gloss topcoat. In this color, I personally prefer the look of the matte finish.
Last, but certainly not least, we have the Blueberry Smash with a medium shade of indigo (it's a little bit more purple in person) with fine matte black glitter that dries to a matte finish. Once again, I tried it with a clear gloss coat on the top and once again, Kaitlyn and I both prefer the gloss finish.
Rumor has it there are six colors in the Fresh Squeeze collection, although I have only seen four of the colors in-person at Target, and five on the Target website. Perhaps not all of the colors have been released yet? Which is silly, it's a collection. Release them all at once! I can't stand the anticipation!
I love all three of these polishes, both as matte and gloss finishes! Like any other glitter nail polish out there, it does take time to remove the polish, so I would recommend putting a peel off base coat on your nails before applying the nail polish. Even though they're not smoothie textured, I adore how they look like fruity smoothies!
Sinful Colors is my favorite nail polish brand and I can't wait to see what colors they release next!
Drop me a line to let me know which of the colors in this collection is your favorite! If you've tried one of the colors I didn't get, I'd love to hear about that too.
