When my sister first told me about the Chameleon Chrome collection, my brain immediately screamed "SHINY!"
Seriously. Full magpie mode.
My mind instantly went to the song "Shiny" from Moana. I cannot be the only one whose brain did that, right?
I mean...chrome. Shimmer. Color shift. Multidimensional sparkle. This collection is basically unicorn tears in makeup form. What is not to love?!
Then I opened the collection page on Wet n Wild's website and — surprise! — this launch is more like the sample platter of makeup collection.
We're talking: 2 highlighters, 2 lip glosses, 1 eyeshadow, and 4 eyeliners.
That is it.
Honestly, I have seen bigger collections i my Halloween candy stash.
I wasn't interested in the eyeliners, and one of the highlighters leans warm toned, so I only picked up a couple of items.

Venus Swing:
I've been on the hunt for the perfect shimmery white highlighter for ages, and Venus Swing finally answered the call.
This shade is an icy white with flashes of pink, purple, and blue depending on the lighting. It's very much giving celestial glow.

One gentle brush tap is plenty.
Two taps and you're auditioning for the role of a Glow Stick.
This formula is intense in the beast way. A little goes a very long way.
There are two white highlighters in this collection because apparently Wet n Wild believes in opttions:
Venus Swing — Cool toned white
Too Sirius — Warm toned white
Choose wisely based on your undertone preferences.

Lip Foil:
These glosses are gorgeous!
Smooth. Shiny. Non-sticky. Everything your lips could want.
The only downside shows up after a few hours of wear. They dry down slightly, leaving lips feeling like they forgot to drink water.
Halo's Way:
My brain immediately labeled this shade Pink Panther energy the second I saw it.
Halo's Way is a bubblegum pink gloss with gold shimmer. The sparkle is subtle but still noticeable enough to make it look like you put effort into your makeup...even on the days you absolutely didn't

Celestial Dance:
This gloss is pure drama.
Magenta shifts into purple, green, gold, and bronze depending on the light. It's basically a mood ring for your lips.
Much bolder than Halo's Way, yet still wearable if you enjoy multidimensional shine.

The glitter in this formula spreads everywhere like butter on hot toast. Removing it quickly is not happening. You will be sparkling until at least next Thursday.

I really like the products I picked up. The highlighter is stunning, and the gloss formulas are comfortable despite the slight dryness after long wear.
That said, can we all agree this collection was begging for more items?
An eyeshadow palette would have been incredible. Nail Polish feels like an obvious addition too.
Chameleon chrome nails? Yes please.
This collection definitely is not for everyone. The shades are bold, sparkly, and very extra. You are either fully committed to the shimmer life or you are not.
